Premier League aponta 115 infrações financeiras contra o City

O Manchester City foi declarado culpado em relação a 115 acusações de irregularidades financeiras levantadas pela Premier League. A conclusão, emitida por uma Comissão Independente e anunciada nesta terça-feira (29/9), abrange um período de nove temporadas, de 2009/10 a 2017/18, e indicou que o clube utilizou acordos comerciais fictícios para distorcer sua real situação financeira.

Conforme informado pela liga, contratos estabelecidos com parceiros comerciais, incluindo entidades associadas ao Abu Dhabi United Group Investment & Development Ltd. (ADUG), que é o proprietário do Manchester City, possibilitaram a manipulação das receitas e a diminuição de custos. A Comissão identificou que esse esquema envolveu mais de 900 milhões de libras, equivalente a aproximadamente R$ 6,2 bilhões, levando à impressão de que os dados financeiros do clube estavam em conformidade com os limites impostos pela Premier League e pela Uefa.
